Act as an escalation point for the System team and provide operational assistance to the Technical Support Manager. 7+ Yrs. of relevant experience, at least 3 Yr. in similar role

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure operational documentation meets completeness and quality thresholds
  • Participate in the development of customer support processes, technical planning, and work coordination
  • Identify any gap on the operational support and suggest correction actions
  • Ensure maximum availability, service hours coverage and skills effectiveness
  • Create a healthy interpersonal and team-oriented environment
  • Participate in the design, planning, and implementation of new projects / technologies and ensure that the solutions are highly available and performing
  • Provide day-to-day Tier 2 operational support including responding to incidents, service requests and tasks
  • Maximize Systems performance by monitoring the infrastructure, identifying and resolving bottleneck, troubleshooting problems/outages and suggesting improvements
  • Write comprehensive technical reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement
  • Maintain knowledge of new and emerging cyber security threats and ensure the infrastructure is secured
  • Manage and prioritize multiple assigned tasks to meet established deadlines
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Support other teams for performance/ availability issues
  • Provide expert level advice, guidance and assistance to less experienced colleagues
  • Ensure team compliance with all approved ITSM policies and processe


  • In a Tier 2 or 3 shift based role with an advanced level experience in managing and supporting complex systems that are built on a number of different technologies
  • Intermediate level experience in a Team Lead role
  • Advanced level experience in Managed Services (System)
  • Expert level experience in different automation and monitoring tools, backup solutions, patch management, storage administration, virtualization technologies, OS administration (Linux and Windows), Cloud Providers and Microsoft Infrastructure Technologies
  • Expert level experience in managing and supporting servers, backup and storage hardware
  • Expert level experience in systems monitoring, performance tuning and troubleshooting
  • Advanced level experience with planning, implementing and improving system policies and configurations
  • Advanced level experience following ITSM policies and processes


  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent

Preferred Certifications/Training:

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE: Core Infrastructure)
  • VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP6-DCV)
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • EMC DPA (Data Protection Admin)
  • Cloud Providers (Azure, AWS, Google…)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • ITIL v3 Foundation or higher
