Job Purpose:

The IT Deployment manager role reporting to the IT Head/Teamlead is responsible for:

  • Leading the IT deployment of global IT solutions in countries
  • Coordinate between global IT teams and local IT teams for integrations with the local IT landscape
  • Coordinate between the IT teams and Centres of Excellence
  • The deployment of the IT solutions according to the defined roadmaps

Main Accountabilities/Measured On:

  • Successful deployments of the IT solutions in the countries
  • Data feeds, cleansing & migration
  • Integrations of global IT solutions with local technologies
  • Testing the IT solutions (SIT, Pen tests, regression testing, BAT)
  • Providing user training for the IT solutions
  • IT SPOC of Global IT Team for business case creation and measurement
  • Management of the IT solutions enhancements in IT teams
  • Collaborative and fruitful working relationship/partnership with other IT departments incl. local IT teams
  • Collaborative and fruitful partnership with Centres of Excellence

Main tasks


  • Define and maintain overall planning of all activities in order to deliver rollouts to plan
  • Ensure all those contributing to the rollout are delivering to plan, and interfacing with and monitoring the strategic partners to ensure the quality level of delivery, supervise all IT solution rollout activities & maintain scheduling.
  • Perform training to local teams on data feeds, data cleansing, data mapping etc. to ensure data integrity and data migration is performed successfully
  • Ensure concept for local integration follows global integration approach and work with local IT team to deliver local integration of global IT solutions
  • Ensure all tests are being executed as per plan
  • Coordinate efficient working, resourcing of rollout team members, and prioritization of tasks (i.e. facilitate resources across all solutions)


  • Provide the appropriate level of reporting and communications to IT program/ project manager & stakeholders as well as ensure mitigation actions are properly defined.
  • Prepare communications (presentations & workshops) to customers & senior executives
  • Ability to own a meeting and drive conversation by anticipating questions, problems, potential resolutions, and required follow-up

Problem Solving:

  • Escalations to management where appropriate
  • Ensure processes are in place and followed. Propose improvements in current processes and proactively find solutions
  • Assist in identifying and resolving solution rollout issues
  • Pragmatically support operational tasks when and where necessary. Have a hands-on approach and in parallel be able to keep a holistic view on relevant matters


  • Establish and run IT governance bodies consistently with the appropriate project management methodology
  • Track progress and raise risks and issues with mitigation actions for all IT deployment related activities
  • Coordinate business acceptance tests and communications for platform upgrade releases
  • Provide feedback and lessons learnt
  • Conscientiously attain agreed goals within specified time frame.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable
  • Languages: English – fluent spoken and written. Further languages preferred
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working as deployment manager in IT:
  • Prior experience in deployment to multiple countries
  • Prior experience in managing technical solutions
  • Experience in alignment with business stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of software development methodologies using LEAN, Agile, Scrum DevOps, and Waterfall
  • Work experience in a multinational and multicultural environment
  • Good communication skills
